Teresa A. White directs the High School Journalism Institute. In operation since 1947, the Institute attracts approximately 300 students to the IU-Bloomington campus each July for five-day intensive workshops. The Institute also offers  workshops for high school teachers.

In addition to her administrative position, White serves as a senior lecturer for the Journalism unit in the Media School. She teaches media literacy, intermediate reporting, grammar and editing, media ethics and journalism education methods classes. When she ís not in the classroom, White visits Indiana high schools, working as a consultant and advocate for scholastic journalism. Sheís a member of the Bloomington Press Club and the Scholastic Journalism Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
