Linda Bowen is a Journalism professor at CSUN and has been on the faculty for 23 years, including as Department Chair from Fall 2012-Spring 2022. She leads the Journalism Education Collaborative, which when fully built-out will allow current and future media makers to easily access an inclusive community of support and resources ñ unifying California\\\\\\\'s journalism education programs and publications into a single, first-of-its-kind pipeline. In the classroom as a former newspaper reporter and editor, Bowen focused on teaching journalism skills and fostering civic engagement through community and K-12 projects, such as the nationally recognized Media Mentors, pairing college students with their high school counterparts to teach and learn journalism skills.
