I retired from teaching middle-level students Digital Studies and Yearbook in 2020. My 24 years educating middle-level students and seven years advising yearbook class were extremely rewarding. The awards are treasured but the impact of the yearbook experience on young lives is what makes journalism education an important offering for middle school students.
