Kristin Taylor, MJE, teaches scholastic journalism at The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, advising the award-winning online newspaper The Oracle and the yearbook, Hestia’s Flame. A certified Master Journalism Educator, she was a 2014 ASNE Reynolds High School Journalism Institute Fellow and served on the JEA board as Scholastic Press Rights Director from 2020-2024. In 2020, she was one of four journalism advisers nationally to be named a CSPA Distinguished Adviser, and her program was featured as an exemplar of how to foster belonging and healthy competition in the book “Never Enough” by Jennifer Wallace in 2023. She earned a Master’s of Education from Sacred Heart University and a Master’s of Journalism from Kent State University. She is also a Nationally Board Certified English teacher.
