Independence High School has been without a student newspaper since 2008, but that changes in 2017-2018, as I rekindle the journalism program here at Indy.I received my bachelor\'s degree in journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2000. I\'ve written for daily and weekly papers in the Bay Area and San Luis Obispo.I began teaching English 5 years ago after receiving my credential from San Jose State University.I have a wonderful wife, who has published several Young Adult novels, and baby daughter along with three giant cats and several guitars.
