Beth Swann, B.A., M.F.A. is a published author and poet who has advised student publications in St. Louis, MO and Fort Mill, SC. She teaches journalism and creative writing courses and advises The Talon newspaper, The Talon Online, Red & Black news magazine, and Voices literary and art magazine. Student publication awards include CSPA Gold Crown, All-American Rating, 1st Place International Award from Quill and Scroll, All-Southern Rating, Best in State, Sroggins Award for Best in the South. She is the newspaper representative on the boards of the South Carolina Scholastic Press Association and Southern Interscholastic Press Association and frequent speaker at SCSPA and SIPA conferences.
