Michele Dunaway, MJE, retired from Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, MO. Her program consisted of one converged staff of ; these students produce a 320-page yearbook, 5-6 issues of a newspaper, and the FHHSToday.com website. In the 20 years she was at Francis Howell, the publications have placed in Best of Show, been a Pacemaker finalist, won Crowns, and met the criteria for All American and Gold Medalist designations.  Her school also received the 2013 First Amendment Press Freedom Award. Dunaway received a CSPA Gold Key in 2011 and a JEA Medal of Merit in 2009. She was the 2012 Missouri High School Journalism Teacher of the Year and a JEA Distinguished Yearbook Adviser of the Year.  Michele also writes novels and can be reached at micheledunaway.com
